Elaine has returned home safely from a tour Down Under where she was involved with the continuing travels of the Gipsy Moth IV yacht.  Elaine sailed with the Gipsy Moth during an earlier leg of its voyage from Plymouth to Gibraltar, and again manned the yacht in July as it sailed from Sydney to Mooloolooba in Queensland.  As part of her trip to Australia and New Zealand, she gave what was described as "poignant and powerful speech" at an event at the Yachting Australia Awards, and spoke with Columba 1400’s patron, HRH Princess Anne.

All of us at Columba are very proud of Elaine and her achievements, and we are very pleased to welcome her home.  Elaine is a full time member of Columba's Programme Support Team on Skye.
