Columba 1400’s first Project Scotland volunteer
09 August 2006

Columba 1400 has always been committed to helping graduates develop their own strengths and talents.  When the opportunity arose to take on some graduates as volunteers through Project Scotland, an organisation which funds young people who wish to volunteer in social enterprise, we were keen to benefit from this programme.

Our first participant from Project Scotland, MaryAnn Taylor, began her volunteering with Columba 1400 in June 2006 soon after taking part in the RBS Coracle programme.  Since that time, her enthusiasm, her willingness to learn, and her firm intuitive grasp of Columba 1400’s ideals and philosophies have impressed everyone with whom she has come into contact.  MaryAnn’s placement is due to finish in September.

You can read about MaryAnn’s experiences here.

Through Project Scotland, Columba 1400 will take on another two volunteers this year, both past graduates of our programmes.
