Dear all at Columba,

At long last, I put pent to card to pass on my HUGEST THANKS TO YOU for the most fantastic time I spent with you in Staffin.

I'm not really sure what words to use to express my thanks, if I'm honest.  When you said I'd be going on a journey, part of me thought it was just corny course-talk.  But, boy, were you right!  It was a personal journey that gave me the time to look within and decide if I liked the person I saw.  I did, and I can see that this person still has heaps to offer, heaps of potential, heaps to give... and a real desire to do so. That was huge because I sometimes fall foul of the "very busy lifestyle" trap, often not leaving enough quality time for me. 

More than that, my journey brought me into contact with some of the most interesting people I've ever met.  Interesting and inspiring.  I met people who often had a more straight-forward, passionate, focussed view of the world... a firmer grip on reality... a stronger sense of beliefs and character than I've seen from many, including myself.  That bowled me over and, the more I think about it since I left Staffin, the more it gives me.  The more it helps me be a better me.

Thank you.  Thank you for helping to create and deliver this course, and for making such an enriching and memorable week in my life.
