Ewen returned to Skye after 15 years working under cover for the Scottish Tourist Board in England, running public houses & restaurants. He worked in a local 4 star hotel before joining Columba 1400.

Ewen married his childhood sweetheart and has 3 fantastic kids Tanya, Aiden and Hannah and his spare time is spent with his family.
