Gill Blair Oliphant
Programme Manager
Gill is originally from a little country in Southern Africa called Swaziland. She moved to the UK in 2001 and has been with Columba 1400 since August 2002. Largely influenced by Gill’s experiences and work with Columba 1400, in 2006 she decided to embark on an honours degree in Applied Psychology at Heriot-Watt University which she completed in June 2010.
Gill is part of the programme team at Columba 1400 who deliver and facilitate our work. Her role as one of the organisations programme managers is mainly focused on the schools leadership academies offered by Columba 1400. In particular, she is responsible for any initial engagement and preparatory work with a new partnership organisation before they take part in the residential element of our programme, and thereafter to support them to make positive changes in their lives and communities once they return.
Gill’s experience working within education for Columba 1400 stems back to the very first Head Teacher Leadership Academies run in 2003 and some of the first Ambassadors Leadership Academies run shortly thereafter.
Gill lives on the Perthshire/Angus border with her husband Charlie and their son Laurence.
