By Car

From the south, the usual approach is via the A82 and the A87 to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge. These trunk roads offer connections from Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South.

From Portree, take the A855 North to Staffin. From Uig, take the A855 North and follow the coastal road to Staffin.

By Train

The Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line is a fabulous scenic journey. The West Highland Line from Fort William to Mallaig is just as beautiful a journey. Passenger ferries run between Mallaig and Armadale all year. Connections to vehicle ferries run during the summer months.

Connections to Inverness and Fort William can be made from throughout the UK. Cycles can be carried free of charge on Scotrail services. Cycle reservations are required on reservable routes. Collection from Armadale can be arranged out of season.

By Coach

Coaches travel to the Isle of Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness with connecting services to all main cities in the UK.

By Air

Inverness Airport is just over 1 hour away from London and 3 hours from Staffin. Daily services are operated by both British Airways and Easyjet.
