“If, before the week, you’d told me that a 16yr old girl from Dundee, measuring 4’10’’ would have coached me into understanding my life values and sense of purpose, I would have said you were mad. But it happened!”

Marie is a coach and dialogic practitioner now living in the historic village of Roslin, Scotland, born in Edinburgh and educated at Napier and Heriot Watt University.
An experienced consultant with over 13 years experience, Marie has designed and led change in global multinational’s, public and the not for profit sectors. Supporting and facilitating cross-functional, cross cultural teams in the US, Europe and the UK has given her a wide experience of leading and coaching people. In 1994 whilst leading a global change management program in the US with Motorola, she was introduced to the practice of Dialogue by Bill Issacs. Continuing her learning she most recently worked in Europe alongside other leading dialogic practitioners growing dialogic models in change, leading and coaching practice.
Marie’s model of coaching is person centred holding the belief that each person already has greatness within. Changing the nature of the conversations people hold individually and through collective thinking lies at the heart of her work. Allowing ‘all’ voices to be heard she believes enriches the decisions and energises actions that organisations and communities can make together in service of each other, not at the expense of each other.
Marie’s community working has seen her support amongst others Prison Dialogue in Southern England and Enlighten in Edinburgh. Currently supporting the work with Columba1400 she brings with her, dialogic coaching practice to support the Education, Corporate and Community programs.
Marie currently lives with her daughter, assorted animals and wildlife. An avid 6 nations rugby supporter other interests include meeting with friends in conversation, travelling, eastern philosophy, enjoying live music as often as possible and playing saxophone badly!
