“I knew the effect was going to be good, but never knew it would be superb.”

- Principal describing the impact of the Ambassadors' Academy on her school

Mark Brown

Mark started at Columba 1400 as Programme Manager for care leavers in January 2006 after working as an Aftercare worker for Falkirk councils Leaving care team for three years. Mark has worked with young people from tough realities for the past six years.

Mark left school aged 16 to follow a career in music. He was already well established in the local band scene and followed this by spending 4 years recording and performing with various artists. Having experienced some of the barriers facing young people leaving school in his community and noticing the increase in the ever growing drug culture, Mark decided to return to college to study social care. Before working for the Falkirk councils leaving care team Mark worked as a substance misuse worker for young people with offending behaviour. Mark now has an HNC + SVQ III in Social care and is now studying NLP and developing his coaching skills.

Mark lives in Cumbernauld with his wife Laura, and also has a son Kristopher.  His work takes him all over Scotland, and he can be found in Edinburgh, Skye, or anywhere in between.
