Simon joined Columba 1400 in October 2004 from the Scotch whisky industry where he spent 7 years in export sales to central, eastern and south-eastern Europe. Before that he served in the Army for 8 years on tanks with operational tours in the Gulf, Bosnia and Northern Ireland. As a Territorial he continues to serve as an instructor at the Joint Services Command and Staff College.
Simon was educated at Loretto School in Edinburgh, Durham University (Modern History) and Strathclyde Graduate Business School where he was awarded an MBA with distinction. He is a keen organist, but with 3 young children finds it increasingly difficult to practice!
Simon is based primarily in Columba's Edinburgh office.
