Centre extension construction begins

As the reputation and experience of Columba 1400 has grown, so too has demand for our programmes. 2005 has seen a 80% increase in our programme delivery and this places the current building under particular stress and risk. To make the 2005 level sustainable for the future it is critical that we expand the available programme delivery space.

Building the extension, a new high quality programme delivery space adjacent to our Leadership Centre, will increase the number of young people able to benefit from our programmes as well as free existing space allowing the restaurant and community facilities to flourish. This will ensure that we are able to deliver back to back programmes effectively.

Construction for the extension began in early January 2007, and we expect building to continue until the early part of 2008.

Our fundraising drive is in full swing and we are well on the way to raising £1.2 million to complete the extension. We warmly invite you to invest in us and in the people we seek to support.
